Reiki Sessions
(in-person)
Reiki is a Japanese word that means “spiritual energy,” “universal life force energy,” or “invisible energy with miraculous power.” As a practitioner, I hold space for you to connect with this energy within you to increase your mind-body connection to facilitate healing on the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional levels. I am a Shinpiden Level III Usui Reiki Ryōhō teacher and practitioner, meaning I have completed all levels of training in the Usui Reiki Ryōhō lineage.
Before the session begins, I discuss with you how you are feeling, what issues you want to address, and where you are holding tension or pain in your body. I also ask if you want touch or no touch, as skin-to-skin touch is not required to receive Reiki.
As you draw in this energy, you may feel a sense of relaxation, warmth or coolness, tingling, energy moving, the release of physical tension, pain or emotional blockages; or a feeling of bliss leading to feeling calm, content and present. I may also use guided somatic imagery and breathwork to facilitate the healing process.
At the end of the session, I offer to give any intuitive insights I picked up — if you are open to them — ask you about your experience, and advise you on how to take care of yourself at home.
All in-person sessions take place at the Sage Center for Wholeness and Health (10700 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Bldg 3, Suite # 560, Beaverton, OR 97005).
The initial session will be 70 minutes so we can go over introductions and treatment goals. I offer this service on a sliding scale. The sliding scale is based on income and ability to pay at the time.
I also offer discounts for multi-session bundles, for BIPOC/AAPI folks, and a limited number of pay-what-you-can sessions a month. Contact me below for more information.

Distance Reiki (virtual sessions)
I additionally offer distance Reiki, also known as Enkaku Chiryô Ho. Through this method, I transmit Reiki remotely in which I, the practitioner, connects with you through oneness, or that place of unity that exists outside of time and space. I utilize guided somatic visualizations for us to work on moving and shifting energy, and creating tranquil mental and emotional states to facilitate healing. Such treatments have the same efficacy as in-person session.
Sessions take place online over Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or via phone call.

In addition to, or in conjunction with Reiki sessions, through intuitive peer mentoring, I offer a chance to discuss issues you may be experiencing in your life you would like to address, as I use my intuition to help guide the conversation and offer any insights I pick up.
Also, through meditation and other techniques I will assist you in developing and nurturing your own intuitive abilities to find solutions to problems and better connecting you to your true self.
I’m not seeking to diagnose or fix. I walk alongside you, to support you in more gracefully walking your unique path. I seek to offer direction to any helpful modalities and resources to get you to where you want to be, whatever that looks like.
My practice is trauma-informed with an anti-oppression lens, understanding how social inequity creates and compounds our suffering. I identify as a Queer Black man in recovery from complex PTSD.

Reiki Classes
I am a Shinpiden Level III Usui Reiki Ryōhō teacher and practitioner, meaning I have completed all levels of training in a traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryōhō lineage, as developed by the International House of Reiki, and am certified to teach students the principles of all levels, as well as perform the appropriate attunements and Reijus needed.
As a student you will receive a manual for the instruction of each level, which will include the corresponding techniques and Japanese symbols and methods. You will also practice on other students during class (if taught in person), on family and friends, and on yourself, outside of class. Each level takes place once a week over 4-6 weeks.
Classes take place online (via Zoom) or in the Portland Metro area.
I offer classes and lessons on a sliding scale based on income and ability to pay at the time. I do accept payment plans and offer scholarships on a case-by-case basis, as well as discounted tuition for BIPOC/AAPI folks.

Payment and Cancellation Policy:
I require payment for sessions at least 48 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment, and payment for classes at least 72 hours ahead of the first class.
If I do not receive payment by 24 hours before the appointment, any booked sessions will be cancelled and I will reach out to you to reschedule.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours before our scheduled time. I do not offer refunds. Payments made for missed or cancelled appointments will be used as a credit applied to the next rescheduled appointment.
